Qual é a diferença entre "will" e "going to"?

Oiiie, meu nome é Sarah, eu sou professora de inglês e vim aqui ajudar a Van Monteiro a fazer os posts sobre dicas de inglês, estou cursando 2º semestre de Letras e espero auxiliar a todos os leitores da melhor forma possível, aqui segue a minha primeira postagem sobre a diferença entre 'will' e 'going to':

The difference between ‘will’ and ‘going to’

You can use ‘will’ when you aren't sure about something like in this example:

will probably go to Salvador in December.

So you can use ‘will’ when you want to express uncertain.
don’t know but I think will not go to the party next Saturday.
Maybe we will not be here tomorrow.
Note: Will not is usually contracted to won't.
Taking these examples, we can change these phrases to use ‘going to’, when you want to express that are sure about something or when it was planned. So let’s see:
I am going to Salvador in December.
I am not going to the party next Saturday.
We are not going to be here tomorrow.

But, pay attention we always use the verb to be corresponding to the subject before ‘going to’.

Thanks for reading!
